The Spring air is full of energy, full of life.
The weather is changing, the days are longer, and the earth is blooming.
And it is. But it can also be frustrating, even miserable, for those of us who suffer from seasonal allergies.
The facial pressure, runny nose, cough, watery eyes, can disrupt our lives, making it nearly impossible to function as we wish. Not to mention the drain and fatigue all of this puts on our bodies. Yes, Spring can be lovely, but it can also wreak havoc on our lymphatic system.
Your lymphatic system is a complex network that is built to carry antibodies to tissues and organs, which amps your immunity and fights infection. Many factors can weaken this process, such as stress, changing temperatures, and heredity, causing it to slow down and become sluggish.
This is where all of those seasonal allergies come into play. The immune system goes into overdrive with all of the Spring-time pollen and spores in the air, causing irritation and inflammation all throughout the sinuses.
This underlying reason, not the symptoms, is what a sinus massage focuses on. Treating the cause, with a holistic approach, is more effective than just treating the frustrating watery eyes and runny nose.
And that is why Soak Spa & Foot Sanctuary developed the Sinus Relief Treatment Massage.
A specially created aromatherapy combination of eucalyptus, lemon, and pine is used throughout the treatment, intentionally blended to soothe and clear the sinuses, as well as provide anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.
A soothing hot stone is placed over the heart to clear chest congestion.
Warm compresses are purposefully placed on the face to stimulate blood flow throughout the lymphatic system.
The pressure point facial massage begins, using cold stones and aromatherapy to soothe the sinuses, along with a head and scalp massage to alleviate headache and tension.
The 30 minute treatment ends with sinus-focused reflexology on the feet, along with lymphatic flushing to open and clear those blocked passageways.
Within 30 minutes, our expert massage therapists can offer relief from sinus concerns, and leave you open to enjoying this beautiful time of the year.
It’s just another piece of our mission ~ to help you live in joy and wellness.
